This thesis includes three main parts. In the first part, the general theory of relativity, Einstein field equations and Kerr black hole is briefly mentioned. In the second part, the solution for the electromagnetic field occurring when a stationary, axisymmetric black hole is placed in a uniform magnetic field aligned along the symmetry axis of the black hole is calculated. The electromagnetic field is obtained by using the Killing vectors of space-time as the vector potentials of space-time. The charge value that makes the electromagnetic energy minimum is obtained by using the fact that a black hole will selectively accrete charge until the ?injection energy? is reduced to zero. In the third part, the electromagnetic energy of the charged Kerr black hole in a uniform magnetic field is calculated with Komar mass formula. The value of charge that is needed for the minimum electromagnetic energy of black hole is obtained by extremizing the calculated energy. The fact that the Wald state isn?t the state with minimum electromagnetic energy is shown by comparing the energy that is obtained with this charge and the energy of Wald state.
