Abstract (EN)

Control points indicate the direction and shape of the Bézier curve. It takes its name from engineer Pierre Bézier, who developed the curve formula to mathematically represent the body surface of Renault automobiles in the 1960s (Mortenson, 1999). Bézier curves have made it much easier to achieve more curved, modern and stylish designs in vehicle design, primarily in the automotive industry. A ready-made shape or a shape designed from scratch has many coordinate points. Calculating these coordinate points in design and using them in practice is both a challenging and time-consuming process. Bézier curves facilitate this process. Based on this problem, this study focuses on modeling planar shape main lines with Bézier curves. In addition, with the Bézier curve, the formal modeling of the shape has been included in the extent to which faulty modeling compared to the shapes modeled with mathematical expressions.
