DYY'nin Türkiye'deki ekonomik büyüme üzerindeki etkisi

The increase in the amount of Foreign Direct Investment, also known as FDI, in Turkey as well as its importance when assessing the position of the country in the international market as well as in the mind of international investors make a research on its evolution and features most relevant nowadays. This study examines and analyzes the impact of Foreign Direct Investment on the Turkish economy in a theoretical framework that is situated in the period comprising the years from 2000 to 2015. This research aims to enrich the economical knowledge on this field by analyzing and discussing some aspects of the topic as well as compiling statistics, data, quantitative and qualitative related to foreign direct investment and its climate in general, and set out to Turkey. It also enriches personal knowledge on this aspect of economic knowledge through the access to previous theoretical researches, literature and field of studies. This study addresses the effects of foreign direct investment on the Turkish economy in general, and on the balance of payments and economic growth especially during the period in which this research is based. It also highlights the features of this type of investment in the country such as which sector of the economy is the main receiver of most of the foreign direct investments. It should also be noted the contribution made in this research to the discussion regarding the importance of foreign direct investments in developing countries in general, such as Turkey, especially after the opening of the economy to the above-mentioned investments.
