Application areas of e-state: The use of e-state in health administration in Turkey

This study analyzes solutions of the problems of unproductivity and complex bureaucratic processes, which emerge from bureaucracies that are significant for the state, with the usage of electronic-state (e-state). It examines improvement of the classical state understanding by the implementation of internet to solve bureaucratic problems. E-state applications in the world and in the European Union are analyzed. Then, made or planned legal and technical infrastructure problems of Turkey regarding the usage of e-state system are examined. It is recommended that e-state system should be used in the health sector in order to solve problems of complexity and unproductivity of social security structure in Turkey. This study tries to furnish the current situation in Turkey. In this context, it examines programs designed for standardization such as Turkish Health Information System, Budget Application Order, Tele-medicine Applications in e-Health, and Family Physician Information System.
