Abstract (EN)

INTRODUCTION AND AIM: Artificial intelligence, which has recently led to significant developments in the health sector, has the potential to affect the job satisfaction of healthcare professionals. To integrate artificial intelligence into healthcare services and promote its adoption and dissemination, it is necessary to determine the attitudes of healthcare professionals towards its use. The aim of this study was to develop an the health professionals' attitudes towards the use of artificial intelligence scale and then examine the relationship between midwives' attitudes towards the use of artificial intelligence and their job satisfaction. MATERIALS AND METHODS: This methodological and descriptive study was conducted in two phases. The first phase was carried out between April and June 2024, and data were collected from a total of 443 healthcare professionals with different specialties. In the second phase, data were collected from a total of 804 midwives between June and November 2024 using the Demographic Information Form, the Health Professionals' Attitudes Towards The Use of Artificial Intelligence Scale, and the Minnesota Job Satisfaction Scale. SPSS 25.0 software was used to analyze the data. RESULTS: The Health Professionals' Attitudes Towards the Use of Artificial Intelligence Scale is a valid and reliable measurement tool. The scale consists of 15 items and 3 subscales, with a total reliability coefficient of 0,931. The average age of the midwives participating in the study is 32,58 ± 8,39 years. The mean scores on the job satisfaction scale for midwives are 3,19 ± 0,68, while the mean scores on the attitude scale towards artificial intelligence use are 3,68 ± 0,65. A low-level, positive, and significant relationship was found between midwives' job satisfaction levels and their attitudes towards the use of artificial intelligence (r = 0.109, p = 0.002). CONCLUSION: The developed scale is a valid and reliable measurement tool. It has been found that as attitudes towards the use of artificial intelligence increase, job satisfaction also increases.
