Eber Lake flora (Afyonkarahisar)

During the study of the Flora of Eber Lake, 230 genera belonging to 66 families and 339 species and subspecies taxa belonging to these genera were identified. One of the families belongs to Pteridophyta (Ferns) and the remaining 65 belong to Magnoliophyta (Angiosperm Plants). The distribution of the detected taxa according to the flora regions is as follows: The Euro-Siberian element is 41, the Iranian-Turanian element is 29, and the Mediterranean element (including the East Mediterranean) is 16. The number of those whose flora regions are unknown is 253. Thermopsis turcica, one of these 14 endemic plants, spreads naturally only in the west of Eber Lake and Akşehir Lake in the world.
