Abstract (EN)
The main purpose of this study is to examine ecofeminist aspect in Fadia Faqir's The Cry of the Dove and Zora Neale Hurston's Their Eyes Were Watching God and to provide a new perspective to ecofeminism through Deleuze and Guattari's concept of deterritorialization. Within this framework, the books are analyzed based on the characters, their relation with the society and the role of nature. The study consists of the definition of ecofeminism and deterritorialization and the analyzing of the books through ecofeminism. First of all, the historical context of ecofeminism is explained in association with globalism, capitalism, orientalism, colonialism and post-colonialism. Then, ecofeminism is reevaluated with Deleuze and Guattari's philosophy evolving around deterritorialization, desiring-machines, body without organs, and rhizome. Lastly, the books are analyzed within this framework and a new lens is provided with deterritorialization for ecofeminism.
