Due to increasing energy costs and legal regulations regarding CO2 reduction, economic solutions are required for application areas with high energy needs. One of the possibilities that can be used is energy recovery from waste heat. Only a certain part of the heat generally used in processes involving heating can be used for the realization of the process. The remaining part is discharged in different ways, mostly through flue gases. With the economizer, an efficiency increase between 3% and 15% is achieved in the efficiency of the boiler or plant by recovering some of the heat on the hot flue gases coming out of the boilers/furnaces and going to the chimney in heat, steam or power generation facilities. Depending on the increase in efficiency, fuel savings can be achieved. In this study, by using the exhaust gas waste heat of 4 steam generators with a capacity of 3 ton/h, 4 economizers were added to the system and the feed heating heated. In the new situation, the existing economizers will be dismantled, and the economizer will be instated in a higher capacity, making use of the exhaust gas. Thus, while making more use of exhaust gas, natural gas savings will be achieved.
