The kıssa Of Abraham with literary aspects

In this study, the literary aspects of Abraham's kıssa in the Qur'an were examined by means of bayan and ma'ani knowledge, which are sub-knowledges of rhetoric science. The problem that causes this review is the debate about how to understand the kıssas and whether they are symbolic accordingly. We link the source of these discussions to the fact that the literary examination required for understanding the kıssas has not been adequately done. The result of the analysis is that the narrative style and the literary aspect of the kıssas depends on the surah in which the kıssas is located, so as not to be torn from its place. When trying to be understood by taking it out of surah, because its structural properties do not resemble the story, artificial filler materials are added and introduced into another format, thus losing its property and meaning. Comments made through the newly created story, naturally, move away from the kıssa described in the Qur'an and increase its incomprehensibleness.Therefore, translations and explanations made without taking into account the relationship of the literary aspect of the kıssa to the surah in which it is located will be disconnected from reality. The thesis consists of an introduction and three parts.The introduction section provided general information about the terms used during the analysis. The partitioning was based on the subjects contained in the kıssas of Abraham. In the first chapter, his kıssas in the context of his struggle with his ancestor and his society are examined. In the second part, the kıssas of the ambassadors who came with the gospel of children were examined, and in the last chapter, the kıssas in the context of the Kaaba were examined. Before the analysis, information is given at the point of the content of the surah in which the kıssa passes and the style of the kıssa.
