Abstract (EN)
In this thesis, 54 Turkish folk song texts in 26 high school literature textbooks published within the framework of the Turkish language and literary curriculum between 1923 and 1960 were examined in terms of form and content, and from here, thematic classification of the song samples was carried out. It is aimed to determine the usage characteristics of Turkish folk song texts included in the research and to reveal the place and importance of these folk texts in literary education. Therefore, it was evaluated how they were used in literary textbooks along with turkish folk song texts. In the light of all this information, results and suggestions are included in order to provide solutions to the problems found in turkish language and literature curriculum and literature textbooks related to Turkish folk song texts.
