EEG with the device usability study: example of a massive open online course environment

Abstract (EN)

This research has been prepared in order to examine the usability of massively open online course platform with EEG device. In accordance with this purpose, the availability of Turkish Khan Academy was determined; EEG device received average attention and meditation from the system with the availability thanks to imported data. While the apllication was doing ten different users that never use the system before were chosen. Users were given tasks to perform in the system. Before the application performed, pilot application was made to the eight users. As a results of the pilot application of results, the necessary corrections were made and main application started. Data of users thanks to Neurosky with an application at computer C# programme were transferred in the excel environment. At the application stage screenshots were saved. Also system usability scale test was made to the users. Two users system in the test was medium, while the remaining eight users finds high levels. As data obtained from Neurosky mindwave device, it was found that the users meditation averages are higher than attention averages of users. This result gives that users weren't forced and completed the tasks easily on the system. Based on this results information has been obtained that massively open online course Turkish platform is available.
