The most important role of the armed forces is to hold a military power which iscapable of deter and when needed remove any threat against the country. OurNavy Force, the most important in the armed forces, plays a big role in nationalsecurity in our coasts and in international waters. The Turkish Navy Force? sfirst priority; is the problem of the Aegean Sea, Cyprus and Turkish - Greekproblems. The islands and waters of the Aegean Sea must be kept in controlpolitically and millitary wise, because of this situation radars have been placedin the coasts of the Aegean Sea by the means of set covering. Seven differentscrarios have been derived about the placement of observation radars at theAegean Coasts, and each of them has been solved with using LINGO 4.0software package.
