Investigation of the contents of the 8th grade destiny unit in the education information network (EBA) system

In the information age we live in, books are no longer our only source of lessons. The internet, which was previously used only to search for resources, now provides individual learning opportunities with videos, e-books and interactive content. For example, the Education Information Network, which provides sustainability in learning and education independent of time and place, is a social education platform for students. In order to maintain this equality of opportunity in education and to catch up with changing systems, the information and content on the internet and therefore on EBA should also be updated. This information updating and content changing should not be done randomly but based on scientific data. We believe that the subject of fate, which is one of the fundamentals of faith in Islam, has rich content in EBA due to both the complexity of the subject and the developmental age of the students. When the sources were examined, no independent study could be found regarding the contents of the belief in fate unit in EBA. In order to fill this gap in the literature, the contents of the EBA 8th Grade Belief in Destiny unit were examined. In this regard, the contents produced in EBA were classified by taking into account the stages of document analysis, one of the qualitative research methods. Since it is not possible for all documents to be subject to analysis, documents to be analyzed from each heading were selected through systematic sampling. The contents under each heading were analyzed sequentially, based on the EBA review criteria, which consisted of ten previously developed items. It is aimed to see the results as a whole by creating a table after the analysis. When the table is interpreted, it is seen that the contents produced are in accordance with the principle of scientific nature and that EBA can be a reliable source for education, the distribution of the contents is not balanced on the basis of unit and targeted period in line with the curriculum and annual plans, the visual and text harmony of the contents is good, and the audio and video are clear and understandable. It has been observed that there are different measurement and evaluation methods in EBA, but a single type of measurement and evaluation method is used in the contents examined. Thus, it is aimed to present a projection to the Ministry of National Education and relevant institutions.
