The relation between education and development: The comparison of education datas between Turkey and OECD countries

The term of development is crucially important especially for the developing countries in terms of prosperity of societies and for the countries wich aim to find a significent position in the world economy and compete with others in this field. Although the term of development used to be expressed only in terms of economic values, today it has become a multi dimensional concept by transforming a human centered perceptive and being considered with many fields such as education, healt, welfore and equality. It's officialy accepted that there's a correlative relationship between development and education wich is the most significant term among. In this study it is aimed to determine the level of development of Turkey by comparing various educational indicaters of OECD countries and Turkey.
