Özet (EN)
This thesis is a study analyzing the effect of education and national income levels on patent production based on selected OECD countries. In addition to education and national income levels, political factors affecting these phenomena have been added to this analysis and a broader framework has been examined. Using data for selected OECD countries between 2006-2020, seven different models were analyzed through panel data analysis. As a result of the analysis, it is found that gross national product per capita and higher education graduates have a positive effect on patent production. Among the political factors, it is concluded that there is a positive relationship between the level of human development, civil liberties and freedom of the press and patent production.
