Özet (EN)
In this master thesis, a new skylight system which ensures the most appropriate form of lighting according to daylight standards is designed in the Atrium section of TOBB University of Economics and Technology University in Ankara. For this purpose, first of all Atrium section has been examined in terms of natural lighting and the deficiencies have been determined. Secondly, the various places which are lighted with daylight were examined and also the roof skylight types used to light of these places has been classified as single layered and double layered skylight systems. After modelling these systems with helping softwares, the simulation was applied to the roof of the university. Thirdly, according to simulation results, a new ?movable double layered solar shading skylight system has been designed and simulated. Lastly, the simulation values of the single and double layered skylight systems and the simulation values of the new proposed system were compared. The results showed that newly designed "movable double-layered solar shading" skylight system was much more advantageous in terms of natural lighting according to the other single and double layered skylight systems.
