The sample consists of 304 principals and assistant principals working at different educational levels of public schools in Denizli in the 2022-2023 academic year. In this study, the relational screening model, one of the descriptive research models was used. The "Personal Information Form", developed to collect information about the managers' gender, age, grade of school where they work, total years of service in the profession and educational status was used in the research. Additionally, the "Mood Scale" developed by Tabak and Yıldırım (2019) and the "Organizational Humor Scale" in Unsalan's(2016) doctoral thesis were used. All data attained from the personal information form and measurement tools were analyzed with SPSS 26.0. In the study, T-test and ANOVA test were applied to the data since the data obtained from the variables of gender, type of school and educational status showed normal distribution. Since the variables of age and total years of service do not show a normal distribution, the Kruskal-Wallis H Test was applied. In order to detect the which groups caused the difference, in the result of the ANOVA test, the Games-Howell test which one of the Post-Hoc Tests was used. The significance level was taken as.05. for the test result. Pearson correlation analysis was carried out to detect the relationship between educational administrators' emotional states and organizational humor. According to the results of the research, educational administrators' positive emotional states (X=3.46) and organizational humor (X=3.64) levels were determined to be high. The levels of experiencing positive and negative emotional states were found to be higher in female managers than in male managers. According to the results collected from the data analysis, while positive emotional states, negative emotional states and organizational humor show significant differences according to the demographic characteristics such as educational status and type of school where they work variables; It does not show a significant difference according to total years of service and age variables. While negative emotional states show a significant difference according to the gender variable, positive emotional states and organizational humor do not show a significant difference. There is a moderately negative and significant relationship between educational administrators' negative emotional states and organizational humor. There is a moderately positive and significant relationship between educational administrators' positive emotional states and organizational humor. Additionally, it was concluded that 31.24% of organizational humor may stem from negative emotional states and 15.13% may stem from positive emotional states. Linear regression analysis was conducted to determine to what extent educational administrators' positive and negative emotional states predicted their perception of organizational humor. As a result of the analyses, it was seen that the positive (F=53.80; p<.05) and negative (F=132.95; p<.05) emotional states of the educational administrators were significant predictors of organizational humor. It was concluded that the organizational humor of educational administrators is predicted by 15% of positive emotional states and 30% of negative emotional states.
