Abstract (EN)
Burnout is a fact which is seen in businesses related with the people that appeared as depersonalization to the people faced in their businesses, feeling themselves emotional exhausted and decreasing of their personal accomplishment and emotional competence.Burnout is seen above among the individuals who work face to face with the people like as doctors, nurses, psychiatrists, policemen, banking employees, lawyers and social services experts.An important group is also the teachers who are determined living burnout. Like as the other careers the negative results of burnout is also sought among teachers. Guidance Counselors are mostly who are in communication with the managers of education organizations, teachers, students and families. Accordingly, the probability of feeling themselves burnout of the Guidance Counselors are higher than the others.By setting out from this view, the subject of this study is determined as ?Burnout Among Educators (A Research On The Guidance Counselors)?. The goals of the study are to determine the burnout level of the Guidance Counselors working at the public and private primary schools and secondary educations and to investigate the variables affected burnout.Maslach Burnout Inventory as the instrument of gathering data and a questionnare for determining various opinions of the Guidance Counselors are used in the research.In this framework, however there are no significant relationships between burnout level and age and marital status variables of the sample, the relationships are found significant between certain dimensions of burnout and sex, educational background, the department graduated, period of duty, school types, socio-economic situation of the school?s environment, the level of happiness related to the work environment, managers to see to appreciate, efficient visual profession herself/himself, making the profession willingly and the moral satisfaction. The research findings emphasize the importance of some professional and demographic characteristics of the Guidance Counselors against to the danger of burnout and taking care of these results various cautions in coping with difficulties of burnout and some proposals are presented in the study.
