Özet (EN)

Present study aimed to examine to adapt the Parental Involvement Scale in Education to sports and examine whether its psychometric properties met the validity and reliability criterias. The original scale was developed by Gürbüztürk and Sad (2010a). The Parental Involvement Scale is a Likert-type scale with 5 options (Always-Never). In the adaptation of the scale, content validity, construct validity, convergent validity, divergent validity and criterion validity were analyzed respectively. NFI, CFI, GFI, RMSEA fit index values were calculated in the study. In addition, the reliability of the scale was determined by calculating the internal consistency coefficient and the test-retest reliability coefficient. As a result, it was determined that the data collection tool showed a good fit as 36 items and 8 factors accordig to the fit index values, which is a reliable and valid criterion for the sport-adapted version of the data collection tool.
