Abstract (EN)
The aim of this study is to investigate the effect of success in fractions of fifth grade students with presented through the web of computer-aided educational mathematics games. In this study, quantitative research design was used. The study is designed as a ' pretest- posttest ' and 'experiment-control group'. A total of 34 students, attending ta a private school in the district of Çankaya in Ankara, participated in the research in the academic year 2014- 2015. 5 week lesson was carried out both in the control group using traditional teaching method and the experiment group applying educational computer games for mathematics. To determine the success of the students, a fraction of the research on the Mathematics Course developed by researchers, Attitude Scale (Appendix 1), Attitudes Towards Educational Computer Games (Annex 2), Metacognition Questionnaire (Appendix 3) and Mathematics Achievement Test pretest - last test applied results were achieved results were analyzed with SPSS. According to the results obtained from the data collection tools, after application of the experimental group showed greater increases achievement scores than the control group. However because the control group is observed at the same time increase the success, there were no significant differences between groups. As a result of this reason, despite the increase motivation and success within the course of educational computer games, no difference was observed between traditional learning.
