Abstract (EN)

In this study, play, which is one of the basic needs of the child, and educational play, which is one of the game categories, is discussed by applying it as an experimental study. The aim of our study is to reveal the importance of the use of educational game, which is one of the teaching methods, in religious education with statistical analysis. As a method, literature review was made and experimental model was used. The sample of the research: There are 44 students who continue their education in 6-C, 6-D classes of Hasan Çoktin Cumhuriyet Secondary School in Doğubayazıt district of Ağrı. Data analysis was done with IBM SSPS 24 Statistics program. As a result of the study, when the post-test mean scores applied to the experimental group and the control group at the end of the teaching process were compared, there was no statistically significant difference in favor of the experimental group. A statistically significant difference was found between the pre-test, post-test scores of the experimental group. There was a statistically significant difference between the pre-test, post-test scores of the control group. However, the difference in the experimental group is higher. Teaching with educational games has increased the success in providing application level gains. As a result of the observations made during and after the experiment application, it was concluded that the students developed a positive attitude towards the lesson and the teacher in the classrooms where the educational game method was taught. In addition, it has been observed that children are enthusiastic, excited and joyful during the learning process.
