In this study, a mathematical model which describes the deformation and electrical behaviors of a bi-morph piezoelectric curved beam is developed. It is considered that the two-layer composite beam consists of an inner layer material which has piezoelectric properties and an outer layer behaving as an elastic material. By using the basic equations that introduced for piezoelectric materials, general equations are derived for the model. First, this model is used for the deformation analysis of the beam designed as ?actuator? and the results are compared with those of a model designed by Shi [1]. Verification is satisfied with those comparisons and a perfect agreement is obtained. The mathematical model is then solved for a bi-morph piezoelectric curved beam behaving as a ?sensor?, fixed at one end and the other end is under pure bending moment. Distribution of stresses, electric potential and displacement components are presented in figures.
