Abstract (EN)

In this period, where technology is developing rapidly and natural resources are gradually decreasing, educating conscious and environmentalist people are among the important tasks of societies. The more important it is to leave a sustainable and livable ecosystem to new generations, the more important it is to instill this awareness into younger generations. For this reason, to design educational facilities for sustainable and ecological architectural purposes is of great importance for young individuals to combine what they have learned in theory to what they have learned in practice and thus to create a healthy environmental awareness. Research conducted over the years shows that educational structures affect student health and learning skills. Green buildings mean healthier living environments for students, and energy-saving structures help reduce natural sources and energy costs. This thesis discusses the relationship between sustainable educational building design and educational objectives as teaching tools that help children develop sustainability awareness and help them develop living systems and building systems. This thesis examines the academic studies in Turkey. Sustainable educational building design and training goals, the relationship of children to help them improve the environment in our sustainability awareness and the environment in our life systems and build systems that will help them develop to become teaching tools are examined.
