The tasawwur and critical approach of the Qur'an towards the beliefs and practices of ahl-al kitab

The Quran frequently referents to the Towrah and the Bible, which are originally based on divine revelation, and also critically evaluates the beliefs and practices of the Jewish and Christian communities that follow these texts. This study aims to identify and examine in detail the Quran's tasawwur and critical approach towards Jews and Christians, whom it defines as "People of the Book The research examines how the belief systems of Jews and Christians and their practices related to them are addressed in the context of the Quran in line with the criticisms included in the Quranic verses. In particular, approaches to basic belief elements such as Allah, the angels, the holy books and the prophets are evaluated and analysed in the light of the criticisms the Quran puts forward on these issues. The study first covers the identification and classification of the relevant verses, and then the evaluation of these verses in the light of academic literature together with classical and modern commentaries. The research systematically presents the criticisms in the Quran regarding the claims of the Ahl-al Kitab regarding Allah, the angels, the books and the prophets. Under the headings determined in the study, how the way the beliefs and practices of the Ahl-al Kitab are rejected by the Quran and the reasons for this rejection are examined in detail.
