Determination on the influence of fifferent nutrient included foliar fertilizers on yield, yield components and some quality characteristics on bread wheat (Triticum aestivum L.)

Trials were performed in 2010-2011 at Adnan Menderes University, Agriculture Faculty, Department of Field Crops in Aydın to investigate the influence of the application of different foliar fertilizers like Country, Cyto-Wachs, K-Sparrow and Boroline at the beginning of tillering to shooting stage on high yielded performance varieties Pamukova 97, Golia 99, Sagittario and Negev on yield and quality characteristics. For yield potential the parameters and yield components plant height, ear density (ears m-2), grain yield, 1000-kernel weight and kernels per ear furthermore for quality characteristics protein and starch contents were investigated. As a result it can be said that positive effects are observed of foliar fertilization on yield and variety-fertilizer relations. In order to interpret the findings better, since the experiment was carried out only a year and the foliar fertilization application was only once in the vegetation period it can be concluded that the experiment least two more years should be carried out.Key words: wheat, yield, quality characteristics, foliar fertilization, varieties
