The evaluation of the concept of ecological citizenship in science education with integrated approach

Ecological approach and the concept of ecological citizenship have been emphasised in this study as the nature itself is regarded as a right in the constitution like the basic rights and liberties. The conceptions of ecological look and environmental protection have been compared. Ecological citizenship is related to different areas like science, social science, economy, art, law and education. Accordingly, the education of the idea of ecological citizenship should be handled with an interdisciplinary approach. Integrated science education approach for ecological citizenship education, which we can include in environmental literacy extent, has been preferred in our thesis. A theoretical analysis in which, the topics has been handled with an ecological point of view and the contents of lessons prepared for different disciplines, has been produced and a evaluotional framework has been formed.
