Abstract (EN)

One of Turkey's fundamental problems, unemployment and economic growth, has come to the fore again with Syrian migration. In addition, the entrepreneurial activities of Syrians and the positive effects of Syrians on the economy also come to the fore. The data and information obtained as a result of in-depth interviews with Syrian tradesmen who came to Elazığ from Syria regarding the issue of Syrian migration, one of Turkey's most current problems, constitute the essence of this research. Interviews were conducted with 27 Syrian tradesmen and as a result of these interviews, the problems of Syrian tradesmen, if any, were examined and their contributions to the economy were also observed. In-depth interviews with Syrian tradespeople examined the post-migration situation. They expressed their satisfaction with staying in our country and their desire to return to their homeland, but that they have now established a certain order in Turkey. They stated that they generally intend to return to their homeland for visits and will return to Turkey later. They also stated that they are waiting for the war to end completely, so they are considering returning to their country. Despite facing challenges in our country due to social and cultural differences and economic reasons, they have been determined to remain in our country.
