Özet (EN)

In a country a non strong financial system can threaten the national and international financial stability. The main factor that effects financial system and increasing the dimension of the risks is the globalization tendency all over the world. In this study it is dwelled on the necessity of effective internal control system in banks which are the locomotives of financial system.In the first part of the study it is alluded banks and banking crisis, however in the second part, internal control system has been explained. In the third part of the study, internal control system in banking have been described and a internal control pattern has been formed. In the last part of the study, we watched the financial condition of the banks, to looking at their ratios before the crisis 2001 and after the crisis 2001, after the importance has been given the internal control. Also the answer has been looked for the question; how must be an effective internal control system.After the economic crisis, the internal control in banking, become a very important subject.
