vECSTASY ANALYSIS AND DEVELOPMENT OF DETERMINATIONMETHOD FOR AMPHETAMINE DERIVATIVES(M. Sc. Thesis)SULE SUMENGENGAZİ UNIVERSITYINSTITUTE OF SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGYFebruary 2007ABSTRACTIn this study, we developed a qualitative method for gas chromatography/massspectrometry (GC/MS) and a quantitative method for gas chromatography(GC) for amphetamine derivatives and especially ekstazi. In this aim, 52 piecesof the tablets which were caught different place and time by the police andgendarme, methamphetamine (MA), methylenedioxyamfetamine (MDA), 3,4-methylenedioxymethamphetamine (MDMA) standarts and tetrakosan solution(% 25) were used. Methanol extracts of the tablets were analysed in GC/MS fortheir quality and the extracts which were prepared with % 25 tetrakosan inmethanol and chloroform solution were analysed in GC for their quantity.Then, we studied to find any similarity between them by comparing theirphysical properties, compositions and the relative amounts of the activechemicals.Science Code : 912.1.009Key Words :Ecstasy, amphetamine, 3,4-mthylenedioxy-methamphetamine, narcotics, tetracosanePage : 93Advisor : Prof. Dr. Erdoğan HASDEMİR
