Analysis and evaluation of al Burhan fi ulumil Kur'an and al-Itkan fi ulumil-Kur'an in terms of history of Qur'an

Abstract (EN)

In this study, Zerkeşi's "Al Burhan fi Ulumil Kur'an" and Suyuti's "Al-İtkan fi Ulumil Kur'an" are tried to be analyze which has important place in eighth and ninth century within the scope of Qur'an sciences. These Works are studied with the perspective of history of Qur'an. This thesis includes a introduction, four body parts and a conclusion, ın the introduction part; information about the subject, method and sources of the research are given. In the first chapter, el-Burhân fi Ulûmi'l-Kur'an, the main features of el-İtkân fi Ulûmi'l-Kur'an and the subjects that make up the history of the Qur'an are determined. In the second section, first versicles which are constitutive of Qur'an's initial chapters, last versicles and recording of divine inspiration in the period of prophet Muhammad are analyzed according to the religious narrations. In the third section, gathering together of Qur'an's which creates the history of companion period of Qur'an, rendering Qur'an as a book, reproducing of versicles and surahs, and issues about collection of sheets which belongs to companion are all analyzed. In the forth section, after the period of companion subjects that composing history of Qur'an Ahrufi seba, allowing to seven letters, collection by Hz. Osman and seven letters, reading Qur'an aloud and punctuation of Qur'an are analyzed. In the conclusion section, results are explained while making consideration of four parts.
