Abstract (EN)

Abu Hanifa (80-150/699-767) and ImamShafi'i (150-204/767-820) are the most important persons in the formation process of the history of islamic thought. Both of them have one each theology books that samely named ?Fıkhu?l-Akbar?. In our study, we have examined these two islamic scholars? theology views in the context of above-mentioned books.Abu Hanifa?s named ?Fıkhu?l-Akbar? book has qualification of passing from predecessors? method to theologian method. In this book, the rules of the belief have been explained briefly without discussion.In Imam Shafi'i?s ?Fıkhu?l-Akbar?, the subjects have been discussed in more detailin relation to Abu Hanifa. In that book, especially, the subject of adjectives for God has been taken up in detail. The study has the characteristics of a theological book. Imam Shafi?i has explained the issues with religious and rational evidences. He has attracted a great deal of attention with giving summary answers to his opponents.Our study that named ?Abu Hanifa?s and Imam Shafi?i?s theology views in the context of Fıkhu?l-Akbar books? is composed of one introduction and two sections. In the introduction given information about two authors? socio-cultural environment where they live in. while Abu Hanifa?s and Imam Shafi?i?s lifes and scientific personalities are handledin the first section, these two authors? theology views thatin the context of Fıkhu?l-Akbar bookshave been discussed in the second section. At the conclusion, given information about that whether Imam Maturidi be affected by Abu Hanifa or not and whether Imam Ashari be affected by Imam Shafi?i or not. We hope that this study will newly contribute that subjects considered on former.
