Folk beliefs of Palu district of Elazığ province

In this study, the Folk Beliefs of Palu district of Elazığ Province are discussed. The research area is limited to Palu district and its villages. The study consists of three main headings. In the introduction title, general information about the geographical, physical, economic and social structure of Palu district is also given. In the second heading, public beliefs and practices regarding the transition period; They are grouped and explained regarding birth, marriage and death. In the third heading, beliefs about nature; Findings about beliefs and practices related to water, rain, trees, fire, animals and stones and the visiting culture and visiting places in Palu province have been revealed. Literature review and field research techniques, which are qualitative research methods, were used in the study, and face-to-face interviews were conducted as much as possible during the field research.
