Abstract (EN)
Tales have been one of the methods which people used to transfer their experiences they have experienced in social and cultural fields to future generations in the historical process. With their own characteristics, tales have taken their place among the tools frequently used in educating and preparing the future generations for life.In these aspects, fairy tales have become highly preferred and an important method of education in the past and present, especially in studies of values education. The aim of this study is to determine positive and negativemoral values of the ten tales contained in Umay GÜNAY's "Elazığ Masalları ve Propp Metodu (Elazığ Tales and The Propp Method)", a collection of tales collected in Elazığ -city- 1970, and to contribute to values education by evaluating them within this framework.
