Abstract (EN)

In recent years, it has begun to be understood more how important occupational health and safety (OHS) is in Turkey. However, occupational health and safety practices cannot be implemented systematically. The major reason why it cannot be implemented is that the rules are not fully understood by their addressees. These interlocutors are employees and employers. For this reason, work accidents cannot be prevented. In order to prevent accidents, occupational health and safety training appropriate to the work carried out by expert personnel who have internalized the OHS culture should be given to employees and employers at regular intervals with real scenarios. In addition, it is important that the authorized institutions of the state make occupational health and safety mandatory with special studies for each sector and at every stage of the relevant sector's work. More effective regulation of legislation and implementation of sanctions regarding compliance with occupational health and safety rules, without any tolerance to all stakeholders in this regard, will help the issue be perceived as serious. The electricity distribution sector is among these sectors. Work accidents in the sector can result in serious injuries and death. For this reason, it is necessary to understand the importance of occupational health and safety in the electrical sectors. In this study, it is emphasized how important solution suggestions are for occupational safety problems in the work done on poles in electricity distribution lines.
