Abstract (EN)

This thesis study emphasizes the necessity of automated solutions in power distribution networks to meet the increasing demands in the energy sector. The growing need for energy worldwide is leading to the expansion of electrical distribution grids and a further increase in demand. As energy needs rise globally, technological advancements in the energy sector and the use of quality energy have also started to come to the forefront in our country. Among these, centralized control and data collection systems, along with distribution management systems in electrical distribution grids, play a key role. One of the most important functions of electricity distribution companies is to locate faults as quickly as possible and repair them. However, the traditional methods used by fault service teams not only prolong outage times but can also lead to dangers and damages. For this reason, automated solutions such as supervisory control and data acquisition systems are needed throughout the entire process from energy production to consumption. This thesis explains topics such as remote monitoring, analysis, control, and fault analysis of the power distribution network. Additionally, it is concluded that Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) systems contribute significantly to reducing non-technical energy losses in electrical distribution networks. For electricity distribution companies, quickly detecting and repairing faults is crucial for service continuity. However, reaching a solution with traditional fault methods can take time and lead to various issues during fault detection and repair. In this context, automated solutions such as SCADA offer significant advantages. SCADA systems collect data from every point in the energy network, analyze this data, and monitor the system's performance in real-time. These systems allow faults to be quickly detected and managed with data. Power outages are brief, and safety risks are minimized. The Data Management System (DMS) optimizes distribution processes and manages energy flow more efficiently.
