Abstract (EN)
The aim of this study is to examine the students' academic success motivation and science anxiety of robotic coding activities for the 5th grade students in "Electrical Circuit Elements" unit of science course. The research has continued for 4 weeks by selecting two classes from the 5th grade students studying at Nurcan Rüstem Cömertoğlu Secondary School in the Aksu district of Antalya province in the 2nd semester of the 2021-2022 academic year. The study has been conducted with 52 students, including 26 in class 5/A, the experimental group, and 26 in class 5/B, the control group. Experimental design with pre-test and post-test control group has been used in the research. A lesson plan prepared with Robotic coding activities has been used in the researcher experimental group, and teaching methods and activities have been used in the control group within the framework of the current science teaching program. Data collection tools used during the research and developed by the researcher are Electrical Circuit Elements; Academic Achievement Test, Motivation Scale for Science Learning and Science Anxiety Scale" The data obtained at the end of the research have been analyzed with the Mann Withney U test. Necessary assumptions are provided openly. According to the data obtained, there has been an increase in the academic achievement of the experimental and control groups, a positive effect on the students who have anxiety towards Science in the experimental group, and a difference in motivation in favor of the experimental group.
