Abstract (EN)
This thesis reports the effect and cost of electrical power quality on textile industry. For this purpose power quality measurements have been done for six months in two different sector of textile industry. All parameters affecting the power quality have been measured by using ION 7650 Power Analyzer according to the EN 50160 standard. All measurements saved sql databases via ION Enterprise software. Because of textile industries have high technology machines including electronic control cards and driver controlled motors, poor power quality may damage the system and causes production failure. Damage from such poor quality of energy suffered by the establishment was calculated. The findings and the impacts on weaving, yarn, etc. departments have been analyzed in detail. In the last part there are some suggestions for eliminate costs of power quality effects.Key words: Power quality, power quality metering, textile industry, cost
