Abstract (EN)
Welding has a wide variety of use at today?s industry and there are many methods of welding for this process. While welding a sudden high temperature input is occurred. After the input of the temperature the product is faced with different stresses what as these stresses is named as residual stress. Residual stress is a negative effect which decreases the strain and causes splits in time. In this study, fixed products are welded with 100A and 140A currents by electric arc and MAG welding. The residual stress obtained after welding is measured by hole-drilling method. After the experiment, at welding with low current and MAG welding method?s same current measures obtained less residual stress than electric arc welding. Key Words : Residual stress, hole-drilling method, strain gauge
