Abstract (EN)
In This study, electrode wear characteristics are investigated under various machining parameters are in electrical discharge machining (EDM). The obtained experimental results are modelled mathematically. In the study, the geometric wear characteristics of workpiece and tool electrodes are obtained for various pulse time, discharge current and machining depth settings.Then, some assumptions are mad efor determination of electrode wear to apply reverse engineering approach is used in reduction of geometric electode wear. The experimental results are expressed mathematically in terms of power series by using matlab software package. By this way, the final shape of the workpiece is obtained in a shorter while with a less number of electrodes.
