Biological effects of electromagnetic waves on human of the body

ABSTRACT While we are about to celebrate the new millennium a new type of pollution has been added to environmental noise pollution and moral pollution that is called electromagnetic pollution. Planning to build and use thousands of new base stations every year become essential as the usage of mobile phones are increasing invreadably fast. The first part of the thesis deals with electromagnetic pollutions and its effects, and also brief information is given on electromagnetic field and fundamental equations of electromagnetic. The other part of the thesis includes the information on specific abrobsion and the effects of em fields on tissue between the various frequency ranges. Furthermore, the effecets of radio frequency fields on human body have been investigated. The risk analysis of household instruments has been studied. Possible effects of one of the latest high-tech product mobile telephones that mend to make our life easier, are probed. Electric and magnetic exposure limits by IRPA are focused. The final part of the thesis includes the tables and graphics of measurement conclusions of available electrics and magnetic field level on electrical instruments used at home. The calculated measurements have been compared to those of previous studies and related standard limits.
