Acceptance and use of Electronic Document Management System: An application on Kutahya Dumlupinar University personnel

Electronic Document Management System (EDMS) has an important place in the digital transformation process in today's digitalizing world. It is an important tool that enables institutions to manage documents effectively. EDMS allows institutions to increase their knowledge and manage their processes more effectively. EDMS allows documents to be easily stored, accessed, shared and archived. Automating processes accelerate business processes. It significantly increases organizational efficiency. It minimizes cost losses. At the same time, safe storage and accessibility of information provides a great advantage in terms of preserving corporate memory. In addition, storing documents in a digital environment provides easy access without space and time limitations, which is a great advantage especially for personnel working in remote locations. User acceptance and system adaptation are of critical importance for the successful implementation of EDMS. It is very important to organize the necessary training programs for users to use the system effectively and to operate technical support modules effectively. These elements will increase the adoption and use of the system at both individual and institutional levels. Within the scope of this thesis, a field study was conducted to determine the factors affecting the adoption process of (EDMS) by users. In the study, it was determined that performance expectation, social influence and hedonic motivation had a significant effect on behavioral intentions; while effort expectation, ease of use, price value and habits were statistically ineffective on behavioral intentions
