Özet (EN)

The present study sought to develop an assessment tool with defined psychometric qualities in order to determine the level of awareness related to artificial intelligence applications during electronic leisure. Within the frame of the study purpose, the researchers followed scale development phases such as literature review, item pool creation, expert opinion, pilot study and final application. The sample of the study comprised aged 18 to 29 years. For the study which was conducted during a period when the effects of the Covid-19 pandemic continued, the researchers received expert opinions during online interviews and collected the data for the exploratory factor analysis and confirmatory factor analysis via Google Surveys. As a result of the exploratory factor analysis which sought to test the scale construct validity, a structure with 19 items and three factors (behavioral awareness, cognitive awareness and affective awareness) explaining 53.635% of the total variance emerged. Next, Confirmatory Factor Analysis was carried out with a data set of 250 participants in order to verify the construct validity. The researchers calculated the Cronbach's Alpha internal consistency and test-retest coefficients to test the scale reliability. As a result of the tests, they found that the scale had a stable and consistent structure. According to the results of the study, "Electronic Leisure Artificial Intelligence Awareness Scale" which had 19 items and three subscales proved to be a valid and reliable assessment tool.
