Management of digital transformation projects in the electronic communications sector and analysis of success factors

With the development of information and communication technologies, the quality of people's lives has significantly improved. Tasks that used to take a long time to complete can now be solved in a very short period and with high efficiency by transitioning to the digital world. As a result, organizations have undergone a rapid digital transformation process within their structures. Organizations entering this transformation process often undertake large projects, incurring high costs. Of course, this rapid transition and large-scale projects bring about certain challenges. To overcome these challenges and manage the process successfully, certain factors become more prominent. Management support/leadership, project management, organizational structure, personnel quality/competence, value creation, customer/user management, and technology infrastructure are factors that significantly impact the success of digital transformation projects. This study focuses on project management and digital transformation, and through an analysis of data obtained from a survey conducted with organizations in the electronic communications sector, the impact of the identified factors on the success of digital transformation projects has been examined. As a result of these analyses, a set of policy recommendations have been presented.
