Abstract (EN)

The purpose of this research is to investigate the relationship between FHT score and athletic performance. In this study 24 female volunteers (age = 20.6 ± 5.20 years, height = 181.4 ± 7.81 cm, body mass = 69.1 ± 9.02 kg, volleyball age = 9.9 ± 5.60 years) who are professional volleyball players in Vestel Venus Sultans' League participated. Data was analyzed using IBM SPSS Statistics 23 for Windows software. Normality assumption of datum was not supplied so spearman correlation factor was used for investigation of relations. Kruskal-Wallis test was used for different position results. In this population, FHT results were measured. FHT analysis protocol was strictly followed with deep squat, hurdle step, inline lunge, shoulder mobility, active leg raise, trunk stability, and rotary stability parameters. Moreover, athletic performance was measured by 20m sprint, agility t test, flamingo balance test, y balance, vertical jump height, sit and reach flexibility and isokinetic leg and shoulder strenght test. In conclusion, no significant correlations existed between FHT total score and athletic performance (p>0,05). Nevertheless, deep squat was negatively (p <0.05) correlated to 20 m sprint performance while it was positively correlated to flexibility, vertical jump (p<0.05) and isokinetic leg strenght (p<0.01). Also, trunk stability push up was positively correlated to isokinetic leg strenght (p<0.05). Active straight leg raise was positively correlated to sit and reach flexibility test (p<0.05).
