Abstract (EN)

Elsa Schiaparelli collaborated with many surrealist artists like Salvador Dali, Jean Cocteau, Meret Oppenheim. Surrealist designs such as "Tears Dress'', "Lobster Dress", "Skeleton Dress" and "Desk Suit", which she made especially in collaboration with Salvador Dali, carried Schiaparelli beyond time and made a great impression. Schiaparelli had to close her fashion house, which she opened in 1927, in 1954, a few years after the Second World War and in 1973 she died in Paris. The Schiaparelli brand, which was bought by Diego Della Valle, the owner of the Italian luxury brand Tod's in 2007 and revived in 2012, returned to the catwalks in 2014. In this thesis, it is also mentioned whether the current designs of Maison Schiaparelli, whose doors have reopened and whose new creative director is Daniel Roseberry, follow the surrealist line adopted by Elsa Schiaparelli and whether the fashion house has caught up with its former success.
