Abstract (EN)
Improvement of chemical resistance, stability at high temperature aim glass surfaces were coated with different compositions According to these coating applications surface properties of glass was enhanced. The aim of this study was investigating the affect of the same application on enamel surface. In literature part of this study enamel, enamel types, application areas, production steps, improvement of enamel surface application, surface roughness and surface tension subjects were described. Experimental studies were started with production of enamels in size of 70 x 70 mm and 100 x 100 mm, surface of these product enamels were coated with different amonunts of AlCl3, ZrCl4, both AlCl3 and (NH4)2SO4 and ZrCl4 with (NH4)2SO4 compositions and surface properties were determinate with application of various analyses. Eluate conductivity test and chemical analysis of eluate methods were used to determine acceptable amount of composition and application temperature. According to analysis results it was determinate as coating temperature was 600 ºC, amount of AlCl3 was 0,01 g, ZrCl4 was 0,05 g and (NH4)2SO4 was 0,005 g for enamels size in 70x70 mm. These ratios were calculated for enamels size in 100x100 mm by making proportion between the volumes of alumina curable. After surface coating applications to determine the chemical resistance of enamels TS EN 14483 ? 2 steam resistance, TS EN 14483 ? 2 citric acid resistance and TS EN 14483 ? 4 NaOH resistance tests were made. According to tests results, which compared with untreated samples, increases were seen like samples coated with 0,022 g AlCl3 + 0,005 g (NH4)2SO4 nearly %71, samples coated with 0,022 g AlCl3 + 0,011 g (NH4)2SO4 nearly %73, samples coated with 0,115 g ZrCl4 nearly %66, samples coated with 0,115 g ZrCl4 + 0,005 g (NH4)2SO4 nearly %72 and the sample coated with 0,115 g ZrCl4 + 0,011 g (NH4)2SO4 nearly % 60.Moreover to determine the effect of both heating and coating applications on enamel surface, surface roughness values and surface energy amounts were measured. However, contrary expectations, it was seen that at increasing temperature ranges and variable coating amounts both surface roughness and surface energy values were nearly linearly increased. At that satiation it was difficult to analyzed the results of both surface roughness and surface tension changes, it was proved that 600 ºC was used as a correct reference temperature.Key words: Enamel, enamel production, AlCl3 coating, ZrCl4 coating, (NH4)2SO4 coating, surface roughness, surface energy.
