Özet (EN)

This study examines the effects of recreational flow experiences on the mindfulness levels of individuals in the retirement period. The research was conducted with 401 retired individuals living in Konya. Data were collected using the Recreational Flow Experience Scale (RADÖ) and the Mindfulness Scale (BFÖ). Factor analysis, reliability testing, T-tests, ANOVA, correlation, and regression analyses were performed. The KMO value was found to be 0.912, indicating that the scales were suitable for factor analysis. The result of Bartlett's Test (Approx. Chi-Square = 3632.847; df = 36; p < 0.001) was significant, indicating that the data were appropriate for factor analysis. Correlation analysis revealed a negative, very weak but significant relationship between recreational flow experience and mindfulness (r = -0.153, p < 0.05). Regression analysis showed that recreational flow experience had a significant effect on mindfulness (β = - 0.108, p < 0.05).
