Abstract (EN)
Emergency rooms (ER) of hospitals could be chaotic places for those whoexperiences them, because of factors including insufficient facilities and thecondition people are in while entering the ER. The aim of this study was toexamine such deficient properties so as to have solutions for them and increasethe comfort level of emergency departments for patients and their companions.I chose this topic because as a one-time user and an impartial observer, I havepersonally experienced these shortcomings. Three private hospitals in Antalyawere specified by a hat draw to be used in exemplifying their most salientdeficiencies. Case studies, questionnaires, observations, interviews were usedto identify these shortcomings.In conclusion, this study identifies several deficiencies, which can be based onthe literature and on the experience of both users and companions. Whileanalyzing the collected data, solutions for increasing the comfort level of anemergency service were also obtained.
