The sentence structure of "Çiçekler Büyür", a novel written by Emine Işınsu

In this study the sentence structure of ?Flowers Grow?( Çiçekler Büyür), a novel written by Emine IŞINSU, is studied.First of all the question of ? what is a sentence?? is discussed and the views of linguists about this subject are represented.?How sentence classifications are done according to their structure? in Turkish, spoken in Turkey, by linguists and how it should be done in our point of view are discussed. Examples from grammar books about this subject are given.The life and work of the writer of the novel Emine IŞINSU is also presented. The sentence types of this novel are examined. The simple sentence classification is studied and examples from the novel are given. The same process is also applied for compound sentences.The language and style of the author is also studied. The sentence structure of this novel is examined through defining the use ratio of simple and compound sentences.
