Research for Emirgan settelement and protectment of problems

In the city of Istanbul, the administrative district of Sarıyer, the ward of Emirgan and the placement of village the building which take place in the historical case were taken into consideration. For this work in historical development time the situation and the protectment of problems of the building nowadays were examined. The ward of Emirgan were examined with it's place, economic structure, it's history and settlement conditions in this project. In history, the development of Emirgan buildings were established and the manumental buildings in that region were inspected. The aim of the thesis is, to get a detailed result from general to private within the limits of pilot building project. Emirgan did not have an ordered settlement up to the beginning of the 16th century, however the place faced with an important building process by the increasement of the place importance in recent years. Subject to this factor, the factor which threaten the historical case with the development and the transformation of the historical case were taken into account. To protect the historical environment, some solution suggestions were given by the help of analysis. Key Words: Historical process, analysis, historical case. IX
